I think like the main challenge in the switch between journalistic writing and academic writing is the development of a voice. Rather than a regurgitation of facts, journalistic writing requires more of a personality to write. It is much more than getting facts posted. Through the work completed in this class so far I have had kind of a rude awakening to this difference. I was more focused on getting every possible piece of information implemented in my writing that I wasn't doing as good of a job in the enticing readers department. I think I have done a fairly amazing job making the switch.
