iPhone 4 's Big Debut

There is a certain feeling people get when they know that anything they want is only one button away. That with a touch of the finger they can go from getting movie tickets online to finding the nearest five star restaurant. This all started with the new smart phone technology.

When iPhone first came out it was the new sensation. Everyone had to have one, everyone wanted one. The technology was something that had never been seen before and was a stepping stone to future smart phones. After creating the iPhone 3g it was not clear if Apple was going to be able to make another upgraded version of the phone. But they have, the new iPhone 4G has just been released to the public making it the next big sensation in smart phone technology. According to tecradar.com Apple's launch of the iPhone 4G has seen the greatest excitement for a new phone ever.

"I am so excited to get the iPhone 4," said twenty-four year old Amanda Balcom . "I heard that this phone is suppose to be way better then the 3G. I just hope it gets to me soon."

The design of the new iPhone has a sleek and rectangular like shape. In the previous iPhone 3G the phone the rims were curved, but in the iPhone 4G the rims are straight cut, surrounded by a stainless steal rim. This new design is suppose to increase reception by acting as a part of the antenna. This helps give more space inside the phone for the battery.

Battery life is a important feature to any phone. The iPhone 4G has a battery that is 16% bigger than its predecessor. Apple claims that it can go through 40% percent more talk time and last six hours while browsing over 3G. When the phone is on stand-by it is said that it can stay charged for 300 hours.

"It was a big deal for me hearing that this new phone was going to have a longer running battery. On the iPhone I have right now, the battery runs out pretty fasts," said Balcom.

The new display on the iPhone 4G has four times as many pixels as the 3g. The screen contains 326 pixels per inch resolution. This HD screen provides a clear picture. This means better quality in pictures and video imaging while using the iPhone 4's new camera.

"The screen is so clear," said new iPhone 4G owner Blaine Pinard. "It's like I am looking at a smaller clearer version of my plasma t.v. Pictures on the phone look so clear."

The camera has a bigger sensor and lense. It is backlit and is partnered with a new LED-based flash containing the ability to work with both photographs and videos. People have always wanted to make video conference calls from their phone. With the iPhone 4G the ability to achieve this is possible.

"I think that this is the best thing Apple could have done," said Pinard. "People have waited for this kind of technology in phones for years. Now that it has finally happened, its going to be some peoples favorite pass time."

This new generation of the iPhone is sure to be one of the most popular technologies of the year. According to Apple sales representative Matt Janway, the stores were packed when the phones had just been released.

"The lines went out of the store and curved around the wall," said Janway. "I was amazed how many people were so excited to get the phone. The first Thursday and Friday of the launch my apple store sold 2000 of them!"

The iPhone 4G has a price of $200 if you are "upgrade eligible" and a running price of $400 if you are not. Even with these high prices it seems that customers are still willing to buy it. iPhone 4G appears to be the must have product the year.
